Extending the Frame Opening Night

We invite you to join us for an evening opening of the current exhibition of experimental film, video and 3d light works featuring; Amy Dickson, Simon Payne, AndrewPepper and Mary Stark.

Especially for the opening night only there will be a screening and an installation of four students work from the School of Music and Fine Art and School of Arts Film department, presenting of a range of moving image work from interactive video tape installations through to single screen shorts by: Olu Taiwo, Alexander Vanegas-Sus, José Macabra and Lorenzo Gianni.

Student screening: 6.30 – 7pm.

Extending the Frame and associated film events is a Whitstable Biennale 2018 Off-Site event, supported through public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and School of Arts, University of Kent.

All Extending the Frame events are free to attend.

Abstract Phone Filmmaking Workshop - The Movie

Thanks to all the young people that took part in the workshop last night at Pie Factory Ramsgate and of course Louise Webb who ran a really fun session. Here's a short film of the editing section of the workshop that the children produced from a snippet of Louise's film footage of a bus journey. I'll hope you'll agree they are some very talented young people who mostly had never used Premiere Pro before and completed this in about 20 minutes.  Well done Evie, Stuart and Ruby.
